From there he moved to M\u00e1laga CF to play for their U19 team, where he moved up the ranks and soon went on to represent the white-and-blues first team, making his debut at the Santiago Bernab\u00e9u stadium against Real Madrid CF on 26th September 2015. Since then, Fornals has played 59 matches in the First Division and 4 in the Copa del Rey and has scored a total of 10 goals in two seasons. His performance has led him to represent both the U21 and Senior Spain national teams, with one cap for each.
