Pacheta has given value to the victory against Stade Rennais, an opponent that has yet to lose this season
Villarreal head coach, José Rojo ‘Pacheta’, appeared before the media to analyse the great victory over Stade Rennais (1-0). The coach praised the victory against the French side: “We put in a very good performance. Especially in the first half. Stade Rennais are a great team, who could have hurt us because they have a lot of strengths. They are difficult to defend against because they are fast and very strong.”
Satisfied with the work of his players, Pacheta assured that the team continues to improve its performance game by game: “We are growing. We have pillars to build on. The match in Getafe and how we defended and how we played today. We know what we want to do with and without the ball. We have to show it every day. The rival was very good. Very good. They have grown a lot in recent years. They hadn’t lost a game all year. We have to take that into account.”
On the other hand, the Yellows head coach acknowledged that the team is on the right track, but must continue to acquire new concepts: “This victory will give us the confidence we need. If they press us very aggressively, we’re having difficulties, but we’re going to improve without a doubt. There are things I like and there are things we need to fix. And we will do it.”
