Miguel Álvarez has analysed the new match for the Mini Submarine against Antequera CF (Saturday, 5:30pm CEST)
Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez has appeared in front of the media in the press room at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground to speak about the Mini Submarine’s match tomorrow at 5:30pm CEST at El Maulí.
Here is what he had to say:
Analysis of the start of the season
“I think we’ve struggled a bit to get into the first half of games, but in the second halves we’ve played very well. We’re on the right track.”
The match against Antequera
“In the three matches we have played, we’ve gone close to losing all of them, but also we’ve been close to winning them. We’ve been better in the second halves. We have another difficult match ahead of us, with a bit of uncertainty about the team we will be facing, because they haven’t played at home yet. Antequera are a team that are very good at link-up play. They’re practically a new team, which means there’s a lot of good work by the coach behind them. We’ve going to compete. I think we’ll compete very well away from home.”
Ekerette Udom, a new face for Villarreal B
“The expectations are high because of his physical stature. We have to see how he can interpret the game and what are his strengths, but he’s technically a talented player. We will try and help him with everything possible to form him, as we have done with Ayouba, Fofana, etc.”
