The Castellón-born forward returns to Villarreal Women in what will be her eleventh season as a Groguet
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Aixa Salvador that sees that Castellón-born forward return to the Villarreal Women forward line for the upcoming season in Primera RFEF.
A homegrown reinforcement
Aixa Salvador García (12/10/2001, Castellón) will play her eleventh season for the Yellows. The young Castellón-born attacker joined the Yellows Academy in the 2011/12 season, when she was 10 years old.
Her natural talent on the ball and her ability to create chances saw her progress rapidly through the ranks. At 13 years of age, she was playing for Villarreal Women B and the following year she made the step up to Villarreal Women. One of her best feats in her first spell at Villarreal CF was helping her side secure promotion to Reto Iberdrola (the second division) in the 2018/19 campaign.
After nine seasons with the Yellows, Aixa signed for Real Betis in the first division, where she played a total of 837 minutes. Following her stint in Andalusia, the Castellón-born forward returned to Villarreal Women in their first year in the top flight of women’s football in Spain. That season, she received the yellow ceramic submarine that is given to youth players when they mark 10 years at Villarreal CF.
Aixa then played for DUX Logroño (Primera RFEF) and the Levante UD B team, although she also played for the first team in Liga F with the latter club.
Now, Aixa Salvador returns home to help Villarreal Women in their new season in Primera RFEF.
