Emery underlined his satisfaction at how Villarreal competed against Real Madrid
Villarreal head coach Unai Emery appeared in front of the media to analyse the draw against Real Madrid (0-0). The Yellows head coach underlined his satisfaction at his side’s performance against the LaLiga leaders: “I’m happy. It was a good game of football. Each team had their chances, and both teams could have scored. It’s only a point, but we’ll take it as something positive.”
Emery recognised that the Yellows’ objective is to compete against big teams like Real Madrid: “We want to be near opponents like this. In LaLiga, we’re trying to be towards the top of the table and in the Champions League we want to be capable of having chances of knocking out top-class teams.”
He also underlined the great spectacle at the Estadio de la Cerámica: “It was a match between two teams who wanted to play football. There were some questionable moments, but I want more matches like this one.”
