Miguel Álvarez believes Villarreal B need to be brave and try and get the win in La Línea de la Concepción (Saturday, 4pm CET)
Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez has spoken ahead of the upcoming match against RB Linense (Saturday, 4pm CET). The manager underlined that the Mini Submarine go into the game against the Andalusian side eager to get back to action after a weekend without a fixture: “We couldn’t play last weekend. We’ve adapted our work to that situation. Now we are going into the game with the aim of putting in a good performance in La Línea de la Concepción and trying to get the three points, by using our playing style.”
Despite the defeat to Linares, Miguel Álvarez is trying to continue playing the same way: “We were ourselves once more after two matches where we lost our identity. We were the team we always were, a team who had the ball and a team capable of generating chances. We were satisfied with how we played, despite the defeat.”
The Villarreal B head coach underlined the need to be a brave team who create goalscoring chances. “We want to be a team who press high, who are capable of generating danger with the ball and creating goalscoring opportunities. We need to show our identity, be brave and be strong defensively.”
Finally, Miguel Álvarez emphasised the good form the opposition are in: “They’re a team who go into the game on the back of a good run. They’re very strong at home and they’ve only lost once this season. It will be a tough match like so many games in the Primera RFEF this season.”
