Funes Mori underlined the importance of a clean sheet to get the win over Getafe (1-0)
Yellows defender Ramiro Funes Mori spoke to Villarreal TV to analyse the win over Getafe CF (1-0): “We went into the game on the back of two defeats in a row in LaLiga. It’s important to beat a tough team like Getafe, who compete well and have good footballers. They make games difficult for you.”
For the Argentine centre-back, one of the key parts of the Yellows’ victory was the clean sheet: “We didn’t concede a goal and we found our goal at the perfect time. We want to be in the Europa League, in that fight there are other very good teams like Real Betis and Real Sociedad. We’re continuing with our winning mentality, knowing that is the correct path to take.”
