Villarreal Manager, Fran Escribá, assures that his team will go for the win against Atlético
In today’s press conference, Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, stated that his team will go for it against Atlético Madrid in tomorrow’s match at the Vicente Calderón stadium (9:30pm CET), more so than thinking about the difficulty of the tie: “We’re capable of winning at the Calderón. It would be mediocre to sign for the draw before playing to win the match. In the previous match [against Atlético] we showed that we can compete against these big teams”.
For the Yellows boss, Atlético Madrid are almost unbeatable: “As a team, Atlético are the team that play the best football. In terms of collective effort they work the best and can also play with different formations. They are also quick on the counterattack. We will try to transition well”.
