Pacheta has regretted the lack of precision in the first half and stresses that “fewer mistakes” need to be made
Villarreal head coach, José Rojo ‘Pacheta’, appeared before the media to analyse the defeat against UD Las Palmas (1-2). “When you don’t score, in the end the opposition are going to score. We had too many chances not to score one and put the game away. We had several clear chances in the first half. If we don’t score, we’ll be punished”, said Pacheta.
He also stressed that the team must make fewer mistakes: “We have to do that. We have to be much more attentive and calm and put our heads into the game, even if we’re not winning. We’re only going to lift the game by playing and doing what we know how to do. We have to insist on that and try to improve”.
Finally, the positive note was the return of Gerard Moreno to the pitch: “Gerard warmed up and told me that he was ready to play. He is a differential player. He took one from 30 metres out and put it in the top corner. That’s good news.”
