Defender Pau Torres analysed the match against FC Barcelona for Villarreal TV (1-2). The defender emphasised that the Yellows played well despite not getting a point: “It was a very diffcult game against a great opponent who are fighting for the title. It was an important challenge, going head-to-head against a team of this size. In the first half, we looked good, and in the second half, we had a chance from Capoue early on.”
For the Yellows No.4, Manu Trigueros’ sending-off conditioned the final stage of the tie where we saw a brave Villarreal despite numerical inferiority: “After the sending-off, we continue to take risks looking for the draw, leaving more spaces, but they were also unable to capitalise on them.”
