Marc, Bueno and Nacho will face Puchol II, Santi and Carlos for the title next Friday
Pure spectacle. Yesterday the semi-finals of the sixth edition of the Villarreal CF Trophy of Valencian pilota were played at the Trinquet Salvador Sagols in Vila-real.
Marc, Bueno and Nacho won 60-45 against José Salvador Javi and Álvaro Gimeno in the first semi-final. In the second semi-final, Giner’s injury caused the game to be suspended when the score was 50-25 in favour of Puchol II, Santi and Carlos. Thus, Giner, Tomás II and Hilari had to pull out and those who went through to the final were Puchol II, Santi and Carlos.
The grand final will be held on Friday 20 May 6:30pm CEST at the Trinquet Salvador Sagols in Vila-real.
Villarreal CF, in its eagerness to encourage the practice and follow up of the local sport of the Comunitat Valenciana, has established an important prize distribution: 3,000 euros for the champion team, 1,500 euros for the runner-up team and 750 euros for the team that wins the consolation final.
