Villarreal Women head coach, Jordi Ferriols, has analysed the match against a direct opponent in the fight for survival, Sporting Club de Huelva (Saturday, 4pm CET)
Villarreal Women head coach, Jordi Ferriols, has analysed this afternoon’s clash against Sporting Club de Huelva (Saturday, 4pm CET). Here is what he had to say:
Next opponent: Sporting Club de Huelva
“I think about us more than the opposition. If we think about ourselves and get closer to our best, I know we’ll be closer to victory. Sporting Club de Huelva are coming off the back of a win and, moreover, on an individual level they have some decisive players. So we’ve approached the game in a way that we think will help us get the three points.”
Looking to be at their best
“We have to turn the situation around. We have to take it one game at a time. We are working to find our best version to change the dynamic.”
Proud to be from Villarreal CF
“As I said at the presentation, I am proud to be here and to represent the team of my hometown. Knowing the responsibility of being in charge of the women’s first team and with confidence in the players and the coaching staff we have formed. I believe we will turn the situation around as soon as possible.”
