Sara Monforte has called on fans to go to the Mini Estadi to cheer on Villarreal Women (Wednesday, 12pm CET)
Villarreal Women head coach Sara Monforte appeared in front of the media to analyse the upcoming game this Wednesday (12pm CET) against UDG Tenerife at the Mini Estadi.
Monforte warned about the danger of the next opposition, who are in a good run: “They’re a team who haven’t lost in six matches. They’re going into the game on the back of a convincing win, and with their morale high. They’re an intense team, an aggressive team, and one that plays in a direct style. We need to match them with those registers, be solid in defensive and find dangerous situations that could give us a win.”
After a tough defeat at home to Madrid CFF, Monforte underlined the team are keen on turning things around and getting a good result: “We’re in a good state mentally. We’ve tried to wipe our mind after the defeat the other day. It was an unfair result. We’ve had time to analyse the match from the weekend and we’ve been able to take positives from it. We’re focused on that and we will go into Wednesday’s game full of optimism.”
Finally, Monforte called on fans to go to the Mini Estadi and cheer on the Yellows: “We need the fans to be with us. We’re playing in the Mini Estadi again, where we won against Eibar. We did it with them alongside us and we want them to be back with us.”
