Sara Monforte’s team lost their third pre-season game
Villarreal Women played their third pre-season friendly against Levante UD. The Yellows lost 3-0 on Pitch 9 of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground after winning the COTIF tournament last weekend.
The visitors took the lead before the tenth minute of the game had even been played. A header from Silvia Lloris put them ahead. The goal gave confidence to the team from Valencia, who were able to establish their style of play and even score a second goal before the break.
Again with a header, it was 0-2. It came from Gabi Nunes, who connected with power and precision with a cross from the right wing.
In the second half, Levante widened the gap on the scoreboard by scoring from the penalty spot, with Érika converting the third and final goal of the match.
