Villarreal Women lost to Atlético de Madrid at the Mini Estadi (0-5) to end their good run of results. Sara Monforte’s side came up against one of the most dangerous teams in the división. Despite their best efforts, Villarreal Women were unable to get a positive result.

Atlético’s second goal came from Aissa Tounkara. The defender headed into the back of the net after a corner (0-2, m.30). It was 0-3 through Rash Ajibade. The striker dribbled past de Toro to score into an empty net in the 42nd minute.
In the second half, Ajibade scored again once more to make it 0-4 (m.52). The final goal, which made it 0-5, was from the penalty spot. Amanda Sampedro stepped up to score from 12 yards in the 70th minute.
