Villarreal Women confirm their pre-season

Villarreal Women have now set their pre-season plans in stone ahead of their league opener, set for the weekend of 10^th to 11^th September.

Sara Monforte’s team will take part in, between 28^th July and 7^th August, in the 38^th COTIF international tournament. Alongside Villarreal Women, teams such as SPA Alicante, Elche CF, Mislata CF, UD Alzira and the Argentina national team will take part.

As well as participating in the prestigious tournament, Monforte’s side will play six other friendlies, two of them against sides from Reto Iberdrola and the rest against Primera Iberdrola sides.

Their pre-season friendly schedule is as follows:

• Thursday 28^th July – Sunday 7^th August: COTIF
• Friday 12^th August: Villarreal Women vs Valencia CF (Miralcamp Training Ground, time TBC).
• Monday 15^th August: Villarreal Women vs Levante UD (Villafranca, time TBC).
• Saturday 20^th August: CA Osasuna vs Villarreal Women (Ribaforada, Navarra, time TBC).
• Saturday 27^th August or Sunday 28^th August: Valencia CF vs Villarreal Women (Estadio Antonio Puchades, time TBC).
• Wednesday 31^st August: Deportivo Alavés vs Villarreal Women (Palencia, time TBC).
• Saturday 3^rd September: Villarreal Women vs RCD Espanyol (Miralcamp Training Ground, time TBC).
