

The Yellows will face River Plate in the Semi-finals of the Generation Adidas Cup
The combined Villarreal U17 team thrashed the San José Earthquakes (0-3) in the third and final game of the Group Stages of the Generation Adidas Cup that is currently taking place in Dallas and qualified for the Semi-finals of the tournament. The Yellows’ goals were courtesy of Lozano, Joan Salvà and Nacho, a faultless performance by Javi Prats’ side in spite of the strong wind conditions that had a big effect on the game.
Their opponent in the Semi-finals will be the Argentinean side River Plate and the match will be played on Thursday (early Friday morning in Spain) at 12.15am.
Villarreal U17s were in Group C of the competition and achieved the following results:
- University of Chile vs. Villarreal U17 (1-1, Chileans won 5-3 on penalties).
- Villarreal U17 vs. Columbus Crew SC (2-1).
- San José Earthquakes vs. Villarreal U17 (0-3).

The Villarreal U12s are already on route to Dallas
The Villarreal U12s set off for Dallas early this morning as they will also be taking part in the Generation Adidas Cup starting this Thursday. The Yellows have been drawn in Group A alongside Houston Dynamo, the Portland Timbers and the New York Red Bulls.
And they will face the New York side first, in a game that will be played this Thursday at 4:35pm CET (Spanish time). The schedule for the U12s is as follows:
Thursday 24th March:
- New York Red Bulls vs. Villarreal U12 (4:35pm CET, Spanish time).
- Portland Timbers vs. Villarreal U12 (6:20pm CET, Spanish time).
Friday 25th March:
- Villarreal U12 vs. Houston Dynamo (4pm CET, Spanish time).
