The Yellows beat Real Sociedad in the group stage before losing to Valencia CF in the quarter-finals
Villarreal CF’s U12s (Alevín A) started Saturday’s XXXI Torneo Nacional Ascale LALIGA FC Futures with a great start, beating Real Sociedad (0-3) in the last match of the group stage. Two goals from Aarón Porcar, and an own goal from the Basque team, qualified them as top of Group B.
In the quarter-finals, against Valencia CF, the Yellows fought tooth and nail until the final whistle, going all the way to a penalty shoot-out. It was a toss-up final and, on this occasion, it went the other way (3-2).
Valencia play this Sunday’s semi-finals against Rayo Vallecano (10am CEST), and the other semi-final is Sevilla-Atlético de Madrid (10:45am CEST). After that, at 12.30 p.m. it will be the turn for the third-place match, while at 1pm, the final will take place.

The competition system consists of 48 matches in total. The group stage, quarter-finals and 3rd and 4th place play will consist of 12 minutes per half, with a three-minute rest period. The semi-finals will last 15 minutes per half, with a five-minute rest period. And finally, the final will be 20 minutes per half with a ten-minute break.
