14 players have passed their medical tests at the Training Ground today and 17 more will do the same tomorrow
Villarreal CF have got back to work at the Training Ground. A total of 14 players who will do pre-season training under Unai Emery have passed medical tests today. The other 17 first-team players will undergo medical tests tomorrow. In addition to these tests, Covid-19 tests will also be added due to the continued pandemic. As a result, the team will start training on 11th or 12th July, as the start date for training is subject to the completion of the medical tests, that will finish tomorrow.
Three pre-season friendlies confirmed
The Yellow Submarine have three friendly matches confirmed. The first of those will be against Valencia CF on Friday 16th July at 6:30pm, at the Oliva Nova sporting facilities. Following that game, the Yellows will take on Budapest Honvéd on Saturday 24th July at 8pm, in a match that will be the inaugural game at the spectacular Bozsik Arena. Lastly, Olympique de Marseille will be another test for Villarreal CF in their preparation for the 2021/22 season. This friendly will be held at the Stade Orange Vélodrome in Marseille on Saturday 31st July at 9pm.
The Yellows will officially start the season on Wednesday 11th August playing the UEFA Super Cup final against Chelsea FC at Windsor Park (Belfast, Northern Ireland). Likewsie, the Submarine’s LaLiga opener is against Granada CF at the Estadio de la Cerámica on Monday 16th August at 8pm.
