Villarreal CF has received an institutional visit from Japan’s ambassador in Spain, Kenji Hiramatsu. The Yellows’ CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles personally received the diplomat, who had the chance to get to see the club’s sporting facilities. Villarreal CF also gifted him an official commemorative shirt from his visit.
The Japanese ambassador did not only get a compete tour of the facilities, but he also found out more about the Yellows’ philosophy, their commitment to youth football and the Endavant project.
Japan, a country with ties to the Submarine
Villarreal CF is a club that has a special relationship with Japan. The Yellows spent nearly two decades with ties to Kashima Gakuen, a youth football club in the country. Last season, Take Kubo, Japan international, also played for Villarreal CF.
