Villarreal now know their opponents as they return to the group stage of the Champions League ten years later. The Submarine will face Manchester United, Atalanta and Young Boys in Group F.
Unai Emery’s men will once again meet the Red Devils, known as Manchester United, opponents in the UEFA Europa League final, where the Yellows won on penalties, winning the first title of their history in Gdnask.
Villarreal will also face Atalanta, who were third in Serie A behind Inter and AC Milan.
The last team in the group drawn was Young Boys, who were in Pot 4. The club from Bern is a historic club in Swiss football, having won 15 league titles.
