The Yellows Academy teams won in three of the five leagues
The Villarreal Final Cup was once again held in Vila-real. After two years of interruption due to the covid-19 pandemic, the stands of the Ciudad Deportiva de Miralcamp and the Ciutat Esportiva Municipal (CEM) Pau Francisco Torres were thrilled with the displays of the future stars who took part in the prestigious tournament organised by Villarreal CF.
In this year’s edition, the summer tournament was attended by 40 clubs from different parts of the national and international geography. The teams competed in the U7s and U8s (2015 and 2014), U9s and U10s (2013 and 2012), U11s and U12s (2011) and U13s and U14s (2008 and 2009) leagues. The Yellows Academy teams were the big winners of the tournament, winning in three of the five leagues, namely U7s and U8s, U10s and U13s and U14s. On the other hand, the yellow teams were runners-up in the remaining leagues, U9s) and U11s and U12s.
All the participants delighted the numerous spectators who came to enjoy the best football in training. In addition, the young footballers offered an example of sportsmanship and fair play.
The champions of this edition of the Villarreal Final Cup were as follows:
- Prebenjamín Category (U7s and U8s): Villarreal CF.
- Benjamín league – U9s (2013): Levante UD
- Benjamín League – U10s (2012): Villarreal CF
- Alevín League (U11s and U12s): CD Roda
- Children’s league: Villarreal CF
