Villarreal Academy lands in Nairobi
As part of Villarreal Academy’s international expansion project, Villarreal CF coaches will travel to Kenya to hold the club’s first camp in the capital, Nairobi, in collaboration with New Hera Interconnection. This unprecedented event will take place from 28th July to 1st August 2026 at Don Bosco Utume, Nairobi. The five-day camp is open to boys and girls from U8 to U19 age groups, offering them a unique opportunity to train under Villarreal CF’s renowned methodology. In addition, two players from the camp will be selected to take part in a Villarreal tournament in Spain.
In addition, UEFA-licensed Villarreal CF coaches will deliver training sessions and a limited number of places will be available for local coaches to gain an in-depth understanding of the content and implementation of Villarreal CF’s well-established methodology.
Martí Torres, CEO of New Hera Interconnection, expressed his enthusiasm about this new partnership with Villarreal CF: “At New Hera Interconnection we believe that football is a powerful engine of transformation and a bridge between continents. Partnering with a club of Villarreal CF’s global stature is a great source of pride for us. By bringing their top-level methodology to Nairobi, we are not just organising a camp; we are opening a direct door for young talents and local coaches to experience the elite standards of Spanish football. This is the first of many initiatives aimed at strengthening the presence of our international partners in Africa, a market that is as vibrant as it is talented.”
For his part, Villarreal CF International Business Manager Brandon Páramo stated: “We are very excited to hold this first camp in Kenya this summer. Our aim with international projects is to give visibility to the Villarreal CF brand through sporting initiatives and activities. All participants will work under the club’s methodology with our Villarreal coaches. We wish all players and coaches the very best of luck and hope this is just the beginning of a successful long-term collaboration with New Hera Interconnection.”
