

More than 150 Yellows took part in the two competitive races in Valencia
The Yellow Submarine’s athletics team, Villarreal CF Runners, dyed the Valencia Marathon 2019 yellow. The event, organised by the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso, saw 25,000 runners take part. A total of 150 Yellows took part in one of two competitive races, the 10k Valencia and the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Marathon.
Around 50 Villarreal CF Runners took part in the marathon. Víctor Martí was the fastest of them, completing it in 2:33:36.
Just more than 100 Villarreal CF Runners also took part in the 10k in Valencia. A historical event where the Ugandan Joshua Cheptegui broke the 10,000m record, with a time of 26:38 minutes. The quickest of the Villarreal CF Runners was Juan Estrada, who finished it in 41:05 minutes. Former captain Marcos Senna, also took part for the second year in a row in Valencia, now known as the ‘City of Running’.
