The Yellows will contribute to the development and formation of young Japanese footballers
Villarreal CF has reached a collaboration agreement with Wakatake Group, oficial partner of LaLiga for the development of grassroots football and coach education in Japan until June 2022.
The Yellows will collaborate with Wakatake Group during the 2021/22 season to promote the development and education of young footballers from Japan. In conjunction with Villarreal Academy, Villarreal CF’s international expansión Project, the young players will train under the tutelage of coaches from the club at the Yellows’ fantastic facilities.
The agreement between both parties was signed at Villarreal’s sporting facilities. After the signing, Joel Santos, director of Wakatake Group in Spain explained: “We are very proud, and excited to see that this partnership has multiple potential benefits. Building this bridge between Villarreal CF and Wakatake Group means building a direct bridge towards the dreams our players have. Our players’ dreams and those of more and more young footballers in Japan are to become professional football players in Spain. We believe that this programme and this partnership with Villarreal CF will impact players above all in their development as footballers, but will also greatly support their evolution and growth as human beings off the pitch.”
