

Miguel Ángel Tena’s side will kick off their season against Atlético Saguntino this Saturday at 5:30pm CEST
Villarreal C are ready to start. The Yellows side will make their league debut against Atlético Saguntino on Saturday at 5:30pm CET at the Camp Nou de Morvedre. The game corresponds to Matchday 3, after resting on the first match day and with the game planned for Matchday 2 against CD Roda suspended.
Villarreal C’s exciting project will be led by Miguel Ángel Tena, who joins the third team from the U19s (Juvenil A), with the aim of taking the young prospects from the Yellows Academy and helping them adapt to life in amateur football.
This season, the Yellows’ third side is made up of a number of players who were with the U19s last season, who won the league under Tena.
Only Javier Comeras (midfielder), Iker Álvarez (goalkeeper), Binu (defender) and José Manuel Vivancos (forward) stay with Villarreal C from last season. The following players have joined from the Yellows Academy: Jaime Duran (goalkeeper), Carlos Romero (defender), Iñigo Sanclemente (defender), Juan Carlos Quirós (defender), Miguel Operé (defender), Abraham del Moral (defender), Daniel Pereiro (defender), Antonio Pacheco (midfielder), Aitor Gelardo (midfielder), Carlos Mangada (midfielder), Richard Franco (midfielder), Andrés Campos (midfielder), Fernando Muriel (midfielder), Jiahao Li (midfielder), Iván Ramos (forward), Álex Forés (forward) and Jorge Pascual (forward).
A total of three players have joined from other sides: Quadri Liameed (midfielder), Antonio Jesús Cantón (midfielder) and Labi Kabashi (forward).
A tough Tercera División with a new format
Villarreal C will be in Group 6 North in Tercera División, alongside ten other teams. The top three will qualify to play the Second Phase to reach Segunda División RFEF – the current Segunda B – from fourth to sixth, they will play in the Second Phase for the Final Phase for the Segunda División RFEF, while from seventh to 11th, they will play to stay in Tercera.
