The B team will play their semi-final in the promotion play-offs at A Malata this Sunday at 6pm CEST
Villarreal B found out this Monday where they will play their promotion play-off semi-final as they fight for promotion to LaLiga Smartbank! Miguel Álvarez’s side will face UD Logroñés at A Malata, at Racing de Ferrol’s stadium. The match against the side from La Rioja will take place this Sunday, 5th May, at 6pm CEST. The winner of this semi-final will face the victorious side from the game between Racing de Ferrol and Gimnàstic de Tarragona the following weekend.
Both in the semi-final and the final, the team to have finished higher in the league during the regular Primera RFEF season will be the winner of the tie after extra-time, so there will not be a penalty shootout. Villarreal B finished the league in second place, so they would have this advantage in both games.
