The Yellows rescued a point against Peralada after scoring two own goals
The epitome of bad luck. Villarreal B rescued a point against Peralada in a match where they scored two own goals. The Mini Submarine’s goals came from Simón Moreno, Mario González and Pepe Castaño, with the latter being in added time.
Villarreal B went ahead thanks to Moreno not giving up. The forward fought for a ball on the touchline, and pushed it home from a tight angle to make it 1-0 (m.5).
The Catalan side equalised in the 18th minute. Nahuel headed a corner into the back of the net to draw Peralada level on the scoreboard (1-1). Just five minutes later, Villarreal B went ahead once more. González controlled the ball while making a run and scored with a powerful right-footed effort at the near post (2-1).
The second half saw the Yellows Reserves step up their dominance, with a number of chances to extend their lead. They were unable to kill the game off and Peralada were able to turn things around with two pieces of play that were full of bad luck for the Yellows, ending in own goals.
A cross from Andozuana from the right got a slight touch from Migue, sending it past Diego Fuoli (2-2, m.67), while the same player also sent it into his own net after a piece of individual play from Juan Boselli (2-3, m.75).
When everything seemed lost, the goal to make it 3-3 came. Castaño got on the end of a loose ball in the area in added time for the Mini Submarine to get a point.
Next up for Villarreal B is a match against Conquense away from home (Sunday, 4:30pm CET).
