The Mini Submarine came away empty-handed in a tight tie against a more clinical opponent

Villarreal B lost to Gimnàstic de Tarragona at the Mini Estadi (1-2). Miguel Álvarez’s side were unable to get anything from a tight game, where the rub of the green saw the away side come away with the victory.

The Yellows started the game excellently. They had control of the ball, pushing the Catalan side back, and had the first chance of the match to go ahead on the scoreboard. The away side’s goal came from Fullana and set Villarreal B back, with the Mini Submarine struggling to impresse as they had during the opening moments.

In the second half, it balanced out, with a balanced game at the Mini Estadi. But once more, when Villarreal B looked at their most comfortable, Nàstic harshly punished Miguel Álvarez’s side with the second goal of the game, through Pedro.

With time practically up, the Mini Submarine got one back thanks to Álex Millán, and ended up losing by a single goal to Nàstic de Tarragona.
