Miguel Álvarez’s side fall 2-1 in a tight match at Alfredo Di Stéfano, but stay top of the table
Villarreal B suffered their first defeat of the season after going nine games unbeaten in their start to life in the Primera RFEF Footters division. Miguel Álvarez’s side lost away to Real Madrid Castilla, who fought back after Dani Tasende’s opener.
The match started in the best way possible for Miguel Álvarez’s side. In the third minute, Ahn provided an assist to Tasende, who beat the Madrid goalkeeper with a left-footed effort to make it 0-1. Real Madrid Castilla fought back however quickly, drawing level on the scoreboard with an effort from Peter, who had a bit of luck as his shot hit Tasende before going in.
Just before half-time, Peter capitalised on Villarreal B losing the ball in the middle of the pitch, putting Castilla ahead on the scoreboard with a long-range effort. In the second half, Miguel Álvarez’s side continued playing as they knew how to, and fought to the end as they looked for an equaliser. Both Álex Fores and debutant Iker Goujón had chances, but they were unable to find the back of the net.
Villarreal B’s next game will be against Alcoyano on Sunday 7th November at 12pm CEST at the Mini Estadi.
