The Yellows Reserves draw in a match affected by a controversial penalty given to the home side
Villarreal B drew in their visit to the Nova Creu Alta in Sabadell. The home side went ahead after a controversial penalty, but soon after, Rubén Mesa drew the Yellows level.
Miguel Álvarez lined up a team with important changes, such as the return of Andrei and Quintillà after their suspensions. It was also the first time Chuca started after he returned from his loan spell at Elche.
The Yellows went for the victory from the kick-off. Their dominance was clear in the opening moments of the duel, although their goalscoring opportunities failed to find the back of the net. The Catalan side, grew into the game and bit by bit kept the Mini Submarine further away from goal.

The goal to make it 1-0 came after a controversial penalty given to Sabadell. Néstor Querol took the spot-kick, Diego Fuoli saved the first effort, but it fell back to Querol’s feet, who didn’t miss this time (m.62).
The equaliser for the Yellows came from Mesa, with the striker finishing at the back post after a cross from the right.
