The Villarreal B striker has emphasises the team’s ‘eagerness’ and ‘confidence’
Villarreal B are in a sweet spot. Six victories and a draw in their last seven games show just what great form the Mini Submarine are in. Sharp shooter Dani Villa appeared in front of the press to analyse the current situation of the Yellows Reserves. “We’re in a good place. It’s important to carry on like that. We’re in a sweet spot and we have to make the most of it. A lot of us are new to the team, we’ve come from Villarreal C, but we’re handling the current situation stupendously well,” he explained.
The forward from Málaga emphasised that the team wants to carry on working as they are so results keep on coming for the Yellows outfit: “The idea is that this current dynamic we’re in doesn’t stop. We want to continue like this. We approach every match with excitement and we’re keen to do things well.”
Villa also admitted he’s feeling confident on the pitch. “I’m happy with the opportunities the manager is giving me. I have confidence in myself and I am really keen to help the team with hard work, goals and assists.”
To conclude, the tireless Mini Submarine striker underlined the difficulty of the match on Sunday against Ontinyent (5pm CET): “It’s a tough match at a difficult stadium. We will approach it with excitement. We will go for the win and try and continue this form we’re in. We know winning every match is difficult. We have to value victories and give them the importance that they deserve.”
