The forward will stay with Villarreal Women for at least two more campaigns
Villarreal CF and Vera Rico Trilles (27/06/2004, Benicàssim) have reached an agreement for renewal of the young footballer’s contract for the next two seasons. Rico will continue to wear yellow until 30th June 2024.
The forward was formed in the Yellows Academy, joining the youth set-up in the 2016/17 season. Her great attacking potential, talent to get away from the opposition, and hard work saw her make her first-team debut in the 2020/21 season. She continued to progress, making her Primera Iberdrola debut in the 2021/22 campaign in a historic season for Villarreal Women, playing a total of 11 games, of which she started three.
Rico is the fifth player to officially form part of Sara Monforte’s squad for the 2022/23 Primera Iberdrola season, joining Tere Morató, Sheila Guijarro, Lara Mata and Irene Miguélez.
