The midfielder from Talavera de la Reina praised his team’s fantastic work against a good Dinamo Zagreb side
Villarreal’s Manu Trigueros analysed the Yellow Submarine’s victory over GNK Dinamo Zagreb (2-1) and the club’s progression to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League with Villarreal TV. The midfielder from Talavera praised the hard work of his team against the Croatian side: “The team was brave. We took the game to the opposition and didn’t concede many chances. We made the game more comfortable with the goals in the first half. With their goal, we suffered a bit late on, but the hard-work was done. We are really happy to go through”.
The Yellow’s No.14 looked ecstatic to progress to the semi-finals, and promised more hard work ahead of the historic clash against Arsenal FC: “We are in another European semi-final. It’s a huge shame that the fans can’t be here, but it is a privilege to return to this stage. It was a difficult result against Liverpool five years ago, and now we face up to another great team, Arsenal. We will fight really hard to get to this first final that we’ve been longing for, and we’re all incredibly excited”.
