

Villarreal B return to winning ways at one of the toughest grounds in the league to play at
An impressive win. Villarreal B got three points from their visit to the Nou Estadi in Tarragona. Miguel Álvarez’s side beat Nàstic in an intense game, which saw the home side go down to ten men in the first half as Bonilla was sent off after a heavy challenge on Álex Baena. A spectacular Diego Collado goal with half an hour gone saw the Yellows take the three points, return to winning ways and gain confidence from getting a victory at one of the toughest grounds to play at in the league.
In the opening moments, Nàstic made the most of being at home. The Catalan side took control of the ball, trying to dominate Villarreal B.
The Mini Submarine grew into the game and started to fight for possession with Nàstic, who were left with a man less early on. In the 18th minute, Bonilla was sent off for a heavy tackled on Baena.
With numerical superiority, Villarreal B started to dominated. In the 25th minute, Collado had the first chance for Álvarez’s men, with his shot after a free-kick being deflected wide.
Collado didn’t let the home side off with his second chance though, putting the Yellows ahead with just over half an hour on the clock with a spectacular goal. The Villarreal B midfielder’s dangerous shot from 30 yards flew into the back of the next off the post. A goal that will live long in the memory.
After the goal, the away team controlled the ball. They had large spells of possessions, dominating the home side, who could not hurt Villarreal B.
Coming out after the break, Nàstic threw everything at getting a draw. The first ten minutes were complete dominance for the home side. Despite being a man down, they showed why they are one of the best sides in the league. The Yellows knew how to dig in when they needed to.
As the half went on, the Mini Submarine took control again, and controlled the ball in the middle of the pitch. Late on, the home side had chances, but Villarreal B held out to get an important and deserved win at the Nou Estadi in Tarragona.
