Villarreal B Manager, Paco López, wants his side to play with hope but to not be frantic
In today’s press conference, the Villarreal B team Manager, Paco López, stressed that “confidence and hope” are key for the Mini Submarine for this Sunday’s match against Atlético Baleares (Mini Estadi, 11:30am CET): “We’re confident and focused on doing things well, but it won’t be easy. They’re coming here playing well and also have the possibility of playing in the playoffs. It will be a really hard match”.
Likewise, the Manager said that they should “only think about their match” and forget about their playoff rivals’ matches: “We must focus solely on our game, without looking at our rivals. We’ll see all that once we’ve played our match”.
On the other hand, Paco López thinks that his Villarreal B side are in good form and with carrying good momentum at this stage of the season: “The team is in very good form. We musn’t play frantically, but with the hope of qualifying for the playoffs. Two months ago we would have signed to be in this situation. The team has got better and better and deserve to go to the playoffs”. Lastly, the Reserves boss assured that, whatever happens, Villarreal B “will fight until the end”.
