Villarreal CF vice-president, José Manuel Llaneza, will give classes at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University from February onwards

The voice of experience. Villarreal CF vice-president, José Manuel Llaneza, is a leading figure in the start of a new course at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University specialising in Management and Sports Management that he kicked off with an educational talk on the Yellow Submarine’s management model.

This education course is the first of its kind in the Valencian Community that responds to the growing demand of expert professionals in the sports sector. This is a specialised course that will educate the future graduates in Business Management to assume managerial positions for public or private sports entities, as well as to promote new businesslike projects linked to the world of sport.

From February onwards and on a regular basis, José Manuel Llaneza will give a series of classes to share his experience from within the world of professional football with the students and will also be joined by other appropriate professionals.

This initiative was born out of the aim to respond to the growing demand of expert professionals in the sports sector. A new project that aims to bring the students closer to the reality of this specialist course and, above all, to drive new business ideas within the sporting world.

Throughout José Manuel Llaneza’s talk, the students completing the Specialist in Management and Sports Management course at the CEU had the opportunity to find out about the keys to managing this role-model club. José Manuel summarised the Yellows’ evolution over the years, highlighting feats such as promotion to the First Division and the numerous awards Villarreal has achieved right up until the present day.

This conference was the first of a series of talks that will feature relevant figures from the world of sports management to give the students greater insight into the reality of this specialist professional environment.

Villarreal CF and the Cardenal Herrera CEU University have had a strong relationship since October 2015 thanks to the Endavant Formació initiative.
