Raúl Albiol underlines that the team is training well and that the side will move up the table with a victory
Raúl Albiol has become a key part of the Villarreal defensive set up. The Valencian centre-back underlines that the team is working hard and only needs a win to start looking towards the higher positions in LaLiga. The next chance to get this victory will be this Saturday against CD Leganés. “We can’t wait to get the first win. The team is training well and that is giving us confidence. We must correct our errors and we hope against Leganés that we put in a good game and we are able to win.”
Albiol recognises that the team has not been solid in defence, although he believes that they have done a lot of things well: “We’ve also done some very good things. We will try and better manage key moments of the game. Butarque is a tough ground to visit, but if we win, we’ll move up the table for sure. We have to improve in defence, but it is a job for the whole team. If we lower the amount of goals conceded, we will win more games.”
To conclude, Albiol underlined the path to follow: “We have a good foundation. Offensively, we are very strong and we only need to find that balance. From there, we need to look for the three points, which is what counts in the table.”
