The Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer kicks off!

The participating teams enjoyed a big opening party at the Estadio de la Cerámica

This afternoon, the Estadio de la Cerámica welcomed the 156 teams participating in the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer. There, all those who from tomorrow will compete for the title in the different age groups gathered to celebrate the opening party and enjoy first-hand the spectacular football stadium.

The event was divided into two parts, one for the supporters and family members and the other for the teams. The accompanying guests arrived at 7pm CET hours at Gate 12 of the Estadio de la Cerámica, where they were given a wristband accrediting the event and were given access to the VIP Box and Supertribuna to enjoy an exclusive reception prior to the start of the opening party.

On the other hand, the teams, also scheduled to meet at 7pm, arrived at the Estadio de la Cerámica square, where they were entertained with music for approximately half an hour. At that time, the players and coaches entered the stands through Gates 5 and 6 of the stadium. The party kicked off with a parade around the pitch of all the participating teams, with a flag bearer representing the club. The event also included a video presentation for the attendees, speeches and fireworks to end the event.

In this edition, 156 teams from 54 clubs will participate, divided into 10 different groups, including two female ones. In addition, the tournament will be attended by international teams from countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, China, Mexico, the Philippines, Kuwait and Romania. Domestically, the presence will be equally notable, with the participation of clubs from the Madrid region, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Galicia, the Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Andalusia, Aragón, the Region of Murcia and the Valencia region.

The event will also be held in five of the most prestigious venues in our province: the Estadio de la Cerámica, the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground, the Pamesa Cerámica Training Ground, the CEM Pau Francisco Torres and the FACSA Training Ground.
