On Sunday the fourth edition of this special day was celebrated for the fans
Villarreal CF supporters had a brilliant day on Sunday as they celebrated the fourth edition of the ‘Fan Card Day’. Up to 95 fans and their guests from places such as Barcelona, Belgium, Getafe, Granada and Tortosa, among others, were fortunate to be a part of the activities for this fourth edition of the event.
The fans met up at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) to collect their accreditations and play in a fun match which Marcos Senna participated in, ex Villarreal CF player and current member of the club’s Institutional Relations Department. Then, the participants went on a tour of El Madrigal stadium. After that they had a nice lunch at the headquarters of the Villarreal CF Fan Club Group (la Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal CF) and were paid a visit by club President, Fernando Roig. Finally, to put the cherry on top of a great day, the fans watched the match between Villarreal and Getafe live in El Madrigal and were even photographed with the starting eleven for the Submarine before the match making it an unforgettable memory for all of them.
The ‘Fan Card Day’ is the tribute Villarreal pays to those ‘groguets’ (Yellows fans) who have bought the official Fan Card. The Fan Card ‘Sóc Groguet’ (‘I’m a Yellow’) was designed for those Submarine followers outside the Catellón province, which is why it’s an exclusively online product, so they can enjoy all the advantages and experiences as any other ‘groguet’ would.
