The young Yellows team enjoyed a surprise in the first-team dressing room before the session
Villarreal CF’s U12s (Alevín A) completed a training session this Wednesday at the Estadio de la Cerámica, the venue that will host the XXXI Ascale LALIGA FC FUTURES National Tournament from 6th to 9th June.
The young talents enjoyed a unique day in which they watched a very special video on the screens of the first team’s dressing room, where they gathered before training, a session they will never forget and which serves as preparation before taking part in the most important national youth tournament in Spain, which for the tenth consecutive season is held in Vila-real.
Schedule and opponents
The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday 6th June at 7:30pm CEST at La Cerámica. From then on, the group stage matches will be played on Friday and Saturday (from 10am to 1pm), the quarter-finals will start on Saturday evening (6pm) and the semi-finals will be on Sunday (10am to 10:45am) and the grand final on the same day from 1pm.
Villarreal’s Alevín A have been placed in Group B with Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Rayo Vallecano and Celta de Vigo. The tournament hosts will make their debut on Friday at 12:30pm against the Madrid side. On the same Friday they will play two more matches, against Athletic Club and Celta, at 5pm and 7pm respectively, and will close the group stage on Saturday at 12:30pm against Real Sociedad. All times are in Spanish local time.

The competition system consists of 48 matches in total. The group stage, quarter-finals and 3rd and 4th places will consist of 12 minutes per half, with a three-minute rest period. The semi-finals will last 15 minutes per half, with a five-minute rest period. And finally, the final will be 20 minutes per half with a ten-minute break.
