Jonathan dos Santos said the team must be concentrated from the first minute against Roma
Jonathan dos Santos is optimistic. Villarreal’s Mexican centre midfielder said at midday today that the UEFA Europa League Round of 32 tie against AS Roma will be decided by “small details”. The first leg is this Thursday at the Estadio de la Cerámica (9:05pm CET). The Yellow number 8 is a regular in Fran Escribá’s side and has already accumulated 1,935 minutes in 30 games this season, between the LaLiga Santander (20), UEFA Europa League (6) and Copa del Rey (4) competitions.
Jonathan dos Santos: “The team is working well and although there may be doubts around, in the team there are none. You just have to watch us train everyday to see that we’re as passionate as ever to do things well”.
“[The match against Roma] is very similar to the match against Napoli last season. Roma are in great form and they have really quality players. We know it won’t be easy”.
“It’s going to be a tough match that is going to challenge us to the max, so we have to play really intensely so they don’t create any chances, as it’s key to keep a clean sheet, and from there, we have to go for it”.
