Villarreal ambassador Marcos Senna attended the partnership event prior to the race
Villarreal CF will once again support the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon to be held on 3rd December in the city of Valencia. The race, which has already become a national and international event, will celebrate its 43rd edition.
The main elite sports clubs in the Region of Valencia have joined forces once again this year in an act of support for the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon. The partnership, which once again took place at the ‘All in One’ branch of CaixaBank, the official brand of the race, welcomed the Marathon family with the presence of Villarreal CF ambassador Marcos Senna; Olga García, territorial director of CaixaBank in the Valencia Region and Murcia Region; the president of Levante UD, Pablo Sánchez; the corporate director of Valencia CF, Javier Solís; and Enric Carbonell, general director of Valencia Basket. Vicente Sanz, vice-president of SD Correcaminos, attended on behalf of the organisers.
Marcos Senna emphasised that the Valencia Marathon is an unrepeatable event for the city. According to the Spanish-Brazilian, the race “is a big party that is worth taking part in.”
As a symbol of this partnership, the four clubs exchanged personalised t-shirts with the name of the race, and also received one of the special edition Valencia Marathon solidarity teddy bears that New Balance and the Ronald McDonald House have put on sale to raise funds for the NGO.
CaixaBank has supported the Valencia Marathon as a sponsor for 12 editions now and is also part of the race from the asphalt because every year it manages to be one of the largest clubs thanks to the participation of the RunnersCaixaBank, the team of employees of the financial institution and which this year is expected to mobilise around a hundred people.
