LaLiga has organised a charity festival to raise funds to beat COVID-19
Villarreal CF will be involved with the celebration of LaLiga Santander Fest, a charity festival organised by LaLiga which brings music and sport together to beat COVID-19, with the aim of raising funds to acquire medical supplies, in co-ordination with the government, through the High Sports Council (CSD) and the Health Ministry.
The charity convert will take place on Saturday 28th March, from 6pm CET, on various digital platforms with the objective of reaching worldwide Spanish football fans. A total of 20 national and international artists, including Alejandro Sanz, Aitana, Sebastián Yatra and Antonio Orozco will take part in the event, as well as footballers from the 20 LaLiga teams. The identity of the remaining artists will be gradually revealed throughout the week via LaLiga’s social media channels and by artists and players on their own account.
The donations to raise funds against COVID-19 will be collected in a number of ways, which will be revealed in the coming days. From the funds raised, the majority will go towards the purchase of medical supplies, while a small part will go towards the #SaldremosJuntos campaign, which some LaLiga footballers are involved in.
With the organisation of this magnificent initiative, Spanish footballer reaffirms its commitment to its fans and contributes to helping the medical professionals in our country through raise funds for medical equipment in Spanish hospitals, and also offering a new leisure activity to entertain the public not only in Spain, but worldwide.
