Castillejo believes the Submarine must aspire to improve on last year’s performance
Villarreal midfielder, Samu Castillejo, summed up the latest from the Yellow Submarine, highlighting that the squad must start the league fighting fit to be able to compete at the level they want to. “We have to be well prepared, especially for matches, as this helps you to get into a rhythm and get better and better. When the first round of games begin it’s always hard because you’ve just started and it’s really hot at the stadiums”.
With regard to the Submarine’s friendly match in Argentina, the Málaga native highlighted that it is a fixture against a special team in a special place. “Many Argentinean teammates talk about what it’s like to play in La Bombonera, of the atmosphere lived and breathed there, and that’s why we can’t wait to go and play against Boca”.
