The second week of the musical contest at the Estadio de la Cerámica has taken place
This Sunday, the second performance as part of the Groc Talent competition at the Estadio de la Cerámica Fan Zone took part, with the performance by The Sigmunds. The fans enjoyed seeing them play their favourite songs in the build-up to the toe. The band from Castellón thrilled the hundreds of Yellows fans at the Fan Zone, which is just outside the Estadio de la Cerámica, and is organised alongside Vila-real Council.
Groc Talent is the product of the collaboration agreement between Villarreal CF and SanSan Festival, as part of Endavant Cultura. A total of nine groups will take part and the winner will be rewarded with the prize of performing at the festival in Benicàssim in 2020. Today, it was the turn of The Sigmunds, a pop-rock group who psychoanalyse being human and everything to do with that through music.
It was from that idea that Sigmund (Raúl Castelló) was born, and after having to pick musicians to play with for live performance (Sigmund y los elegidos), he found a group of musical friends, and formed a band (The Sigmunds) with Martín Sevilla, Ferrán Carratalá, Manolo Soler, Toni Martínez and Joan Centelles. The group want to try and grow each day as people and musicians, and although they have gone through transformations of the lineups, they have not lost the essence of the initial project and the excitement of the hard work which has taken them to where they are nowadays.
The Monday after each performance, from 12pm in Spain, the voting period will open until the following Monday at the same time. Fans can vote on the official website (Groc Talent), with a mark from 1 to 5 for the band (with 1 being the lowest mark possible and 5 the highest). Once all performances have taken place, the three groups with the most votes will reach the final. The votes will then be a summary of the public’s Villarreal CF’s and SanSan’s management.
The final, with a time and date still to be confirmed, will take place between 16th and 22nd March 2020. A professional jury will decide who wins, with the prize being a performance in the 7th SanSan Festival in Benicàssim.
