

Villarreal B went ahead with a Fran Álvarez goal, but could not maintain their lead
Villarreal B lost during their visit to Espanyol B in a match where they took an early lead with a low shot from the edge of the area by Fran Álvarez (0-1, m. 26), but the team managed by Miguel Álvarez could not maintain their lead.
The Espanyol reserve side equalised after a corner kick that Moha struck onto the crossbar which a very alert Iago followed up to make it 1-1 (m. 37).
In the second half, Espanyol B turned the game around. Three minutes after the restart Moha was awarded a penalty which the striker took himself to take a 2-1 lead (m. 49).
Villarreal B went in search for an equaliser and were given two chances, but instead the home side made it 3-1. Pau Martínez took a shot from a free kick won by Moha to finish the game off in the 80th minute.
The reserves’ next match will be against Badalona at the Mini Estadi.
