The Yellows Academy team has won five titles in the 2023/24 season
Villarreal CF U14s (Infantil A) have completed a historic 2023/24 season for the Yellows Academy, winning a total of five titles: the league, LALIGA FC Futures, the Surf Cup, the Smart Football Cup and the Santa Ponsa Cup.
In their league, the Liga Autonómica, they were the champions with 90 points, five points ahead of second-placed Valencia A. Of the 34 matches played, the team coached by Carlos Bou won 29 games, drew three and lost only two, making them the most consistent team in the competition.
The collective statistics of goals scored and conceded also speak for themselves, as Villarreal have scored the second most goals, 118, and conceded the fewest in the league, 18.
To round off a great season and with the title already secured, the Mini Estadi of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground hosted the last day of the league, where the Yellows ended the season with a 6-0 win over Moncadense.
It is also worth highlighting the feat achieved in the I International U-14 LaLiga FC Futures Tournament, which was held at the beginning of March in Saudi Arabia. The other titles won are: the Surf Cup, in November, and the Smart Football Club, at the end of April, both in Salou; and the Santa Ponsa Cup, which took place at the end of March in Mallorca.
The head coach’s assessment of the season
The Villarreal CF Infantil A head coach, Carlos Bou, attributes the achievement of the titles won this season to the quality of the dressing room: “The cohesion and the good atmosphere in the dressing room has been the key to the success of the season. What I value most about this group is the commitment and attitude they have every day. They always come with a smile on their faces and a desire to work hard and improve.”
Other academy champions
Seven more Yellows Academy teams have been proclaimed champions of their respective leagues this season: four in the Alevín age group: Alevín A, Alevín A Roda, Alevín C and Alevín D; Benjamín D and two in the Prebenjamín age group, Mini A and Mini B.
