Sara Monforte has analysed the upcoming match against the Andalusian team (Saturday, 4pm CET)

Villarreal Women head coach, Sara Monforte, appeared before the media at the press conference prior to the vital match against Real Betis Balompié, corresponding to Gameweek 23 of the Finetwork Liga F. The match will take place on Saturday 25 March, a6 4pm CET, at the Luis del Sol Training Ground. This is what she had to say:

A direct rival

“We have eight games left and they are all important. There are seven teams in the bottom half of the table. Against Real Betis Balompié it will be a difficult game, but also a good one. The team is in a very good moment and we will try to get the three points in Seville”.

The keys to the match

“I expect a very even match with a lot of stoppages, as happened against FC Levante Las Planas. Betis probably have one of the best midfields in the league. The match will be defined by small details.”

The team at their best

“It’s true that every year it’s hard. Our teams always do better in the second half of the season than in the first, because this is a process. If you had this consistency throughout the season, we would be higher up. This is the team we all want. Winning tomorrow wouldn’t be the definitive blow, but it would bring us closer to our objective. Besides, as there are a lot of teams down there, the margin of those four points is bigger than we imagine.”
