Villarreal CF has extended its free catering service to the Military Emergencies Unit as part of the #CuentaConmigo campaign
We’re all on the same side. Villarreal CF has added the Military Emergencies Unit (UME) to the #CuentaConmigo campaign, as a way of thanking them for their fight against COVID-19. The club will regularly offer its catering service to this collective who are working hard for everyone’s health, as they are currently doing with the La Plana Hospital in Vila-real, the Carinyena Health Centre and the Centro de Tecnificación Deportiva, which is currently a support facility in this pandemic.
The #CuentaConmigo (Count on Me) initiative, supported by the club, the men’s first team and the Fundación Carlos Bacca, is also contributing to guarantee food for families with scarce resources, and those at risk of social exclusion, by preparing more than 200 daily meals at the Estadio de la Cerámica, which are then given to Cáritas Vila-real to hand out among those most in need and affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Villarreal CF profoundly laments the current situation and asks its fans to act responsibly to avoid the propagation of COVID-19. The club is offering its help to medical authorities as much as possible to help join the fight against the coronavirus and wants to offer a profound thanks to all of those in the battle against it, from medical staff, to armed forces, the police and the civil guard.
