Miguel Álvarez emphasised that his Villarreal B side are in search of a win to capitalise on their good form in recent matches

Villarreal B boss, Miguel Álvarez, went before the media in a press conference earlier today to analyse his side’s next match against Orihuela CF (Sunday, 12pm CET). The Reserves manager highlighted the quality of the Yellows’ upcoming opponent: “They’re a solid side and they’ll make us work hard without the ball. Orihuela will fight to be among the top three this season. They’ve made some really good signings, they have players that are experienced in the league, they’re very well managed by a young coach and they work well.”

In addition, Miguel Álvarez summarised the Mini Submarine’s latest performances ahead of facing the ‘scorpions’: “We’ve picked up a few draws recently when we’ve been closer to winning than drawing those games. We’re very satisfied with the players’ work, they’re very young. We have 18 new players and they’re improving everyday.”

For the Yellows boss, the key to the clash against Orihuela CF will be in not conceding and trying to play the ball around at a high tempo: “It’s fundamental that we don’t give anything away and try to stop them playing to their strengths. We’re a side that do many things well, but as we’re young there are always small details that we get punished for. Against Orihuela, we need to be solid and impose our game on them. Continue to play with the high tempo and intenstiy that we always do and that’ll make us a hard side to beat at the Mini Estadi.”
